The Christmas portion of Händel's Messiah, the traditional season-opener for The New Choral Society is paired this year with 20th century composer John Rutter's Gloria. It's wonderful accompaniment for brass, organ and percussion and exciting choral passages will surely delight audiences, and make this concert a festive way to begin the holiday season. As always. we will conclude the concert with the familiar "Hallelujah Chorus". Soloists are Lisette Oropesa, soprano; Tamara Mumford, alto; Nathaniel Peake, tenor and Keith Miller, bass.
