Orchestre Métropolitain de Montréal, Lisette Oropesa
It’s "Capitale d'Été," which also means it’s time to head outdoors! We are celebrating the summer in Baden-Baden and building a new stage in front of the famous Baden-Baden Kurhaus with the equally famous Casino. Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who has taken the city and the audience into his heart, will conduct the Orchestre Métropolitain from his Canadian homeland. He became its chief conductor in 2000 at the age of twenty-five, a position he still holds to this day. The soloist of the evening will be Lisette Oropesa, who shines at the New York Met, La Scala, and the Wiener Staatsoper and, also in view of her her Cuban-American origins, can rightly be called a "world star."
In case of unfavorable weather conditions, the concert will take place in the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden.
