JoAnn Falletta, Guest Conductor

This performance features guest conductor JoAnn Falletta, whom the Los Angeles Times called, “One of the brightest stars of symphonic music in America,” and soprano extraordinaire Lisette Oropesa. PhillyMag wrote about Oropesa: “I’ve never seen an Opera Philadelphia audience react with such fervor to a performer in recent memory.”

Once again, Lisette Oropesa graces the Classical Tahoe performance, featuring Schumann, Weber, Mozart, and in honor of our fifth season, Beethoven’s Symphony #5. A Classical Tahoe board member commented at the end of last year’s concert series: “I’m so happy just to help bring this caliber of music here.”
