In the story of the jester Rigoletto (who on one hand slyly indulges the whims of the Duke of Mantua, and on the other wants to protect his daughter Gilda at all costs), eternal themes intertwine—such as passion, betrayal, love, hatred, and revenge—elevated by immortal arias like "Caro nome," "Cortigiani, vil razza dannata," and "La donna è mobile."
