Naxos DVD cover of Donizetti's Maria Stuarda from Teatro Real, Lisette Oropesa in the title role

Lisette's acclaimed Maria Stuarda from Teatro Real is coming home to the shelf. David McVicar's production — in which Lisette sings the title role of Donizetti's doomed Queen of Scots — will be released on DVD and Blu-ray by Naxos on July 10, 2026.

Captured live in Madrid, the release preserves McVicar's staging with its monumental sets and sumptuous Elizabethan costumes, tracing the merciless rivalry between Elizabeth I and Mary Stuart from their flamboyantly lyrical confrontation to the poignant final execution scene.
