RECITAL DE LISETTE OROPESA Y RUBÉN FERNÁNDEZ AGUIRRE EN BILBAO - Feb. 7, 2021
Let's say it as soon as possible: the recital has been an unmitigated success. One, who is not a friend of this format, does not remember in recent years a singer with the vocal quality of Oropesa in any recital. Her voice is of beautiful color, uniformity in all registers - although somewhat nuanced in the lower area, which seems natural - a quality phrasing and an implication with the text worthy of applause.
In addition, technically Oropesa offered us high-quality details, the kind that are intended to be enjoyed almost in privacy. To give just two examples, the final trill of Mercadante's second piece, La Primavera, is only a few; and in the second part, in the operatic, the entire final scene of Bellini's La sonnambula was an example of good saying, of involvement with the character and of generosity with the audience since the soprano included the recitative, very heartfelt, the aria and the final cabaletta.
