I have been completely overwhelmed with the reactions from my debut at the Royal Opera House in Lucia di Lammermoor. It is obvious from all of the reviews that the press really loved all of the work that we put into making this revival of Katy Mitchell's production something truly special.
Here are some of my favorite reactions from twitter and the press:
Whole house standing ovation tonight @RoyalOperaHouse for @Lisette_Oropesa and an amazing #rohlucia cast.

@Lisette_Oropesa simply stunning as Lucia di Lammermoor @RoyalOperaHouse One of my all time highlights in over 35 years going to opera. See it if you can

@RoyalOperaHouse #Lucia Stunning, thrilling, shocking production. Orch & chorus fab, all soloists top notch but @Lisette_Oropesa truly breathtaking. Psychologically truthful acting, forensically detailed singing. Mad scene = pin drop. What a star. #ROHLucia

Dear @Lisette_Oropesa I have just seen #rohlucia for the 3rd time. Please stop singing everywhere else and live @RoyalOperaHouse and sing everything there forever. Lucia, Salome, Wotan whatever, I don't care, just DON'T LEAVE! The End.

Our hard working principals after #ROHlucia last night. Saying goodbye to the lovely @CharlieTenor Luckily we get to keep @Lisette_Oropesa and @chrismaltman for a few more shows. pic.twitter.com/LZMNuMwE9A

Another fantastic Lucia from @Lisette_Oropesa at the ROH last night. So nice of her to spend some time afterwards with @NicolaSaid88 , the star of @FulhamOpera Lucia, which is also on right now. Happily there are no date clashes so you can see both! #thetwolucias pic.twitter.com/pQuQHPWH5r

#ROHLucia is absolutely stunning. Beautiful interpretation. Oropesa’s ‘Il dolce suono’ gave me the chills throughout. And Castronovo broke my heart at ‘ti rivogli...’ Bravi tutti! pic.twitter.com/4uif9czL7U

If you are not going to see @Lisette_Oropesa as Lucia at the @RoyalOperaHouse then you are making a big mistake. #ROHlucia pic.twitter.com/9Cp7SIIGB5

Ok. Just gonna put this out there. I think @Lisette_Oropesa as #ROHlucia @RoyalOperaHouse is... as good as Callas. There. I said it. 😊 pic.twitter.com/J6TA4j9mqq
