Hello friends! What an incredible experience I’ve had at the Met this fall and winter. After a wonderful run of 10 performances of FALSTAFF and 8 performances of WERTHER I can say I feel so blessed! Both shows received wonderful reviews and were a delight to the audiences from the Met and all around the world on the Live! in HD broadcasts.

The New Choral Society was kind enough to allow me the use of their recording of The Creation. My husband also made a video of me rehearsing this peice. He felt that it would be a good chance for people to see me singing something other than opera and the video turned out better than we had anticipated!

Reflections

This was truly a season of learning from the masters.  It was divine to work with Maestro Levine in FALSTAFF, who was as sharp and cheerful as a robin in spring.  His expertise and support go hand in hand, and he brings out the best in every musician.  I'm so lucky to have an ongoing collaboration with this great Maestro. Working with director Richard Eyre in WERTHER was unforgettable.  He had us go through each scene, reciting our lines as though we were actors in a play (in French!) It may not sound like going out on a limb, but in my experience, it doesn't get done that often.  It brought out so much in me as a performer and for that I'm eternally grateful.
