I Capuleti e i Montecchi

Lisette returns to the Gran Teatre del Liceu as Giulietta in Bellini's I Capuleti e i Montecchi, opposite Italian mezzo-soprano Raffaella Lupinacci as Romeo and Peruvian tenor Iván Ayón-Rivas as Tebaldo. Riccardo Frizza conducts the Orchestra and Chorus of the Gran Teatre del Liceu (chorus master Pablo Assante).

The Liceu presents Allex Aguilera's production, first seen at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège in 2024, with stage direction and set design by Aguilera, costumes by Françoise Raybaud, lighting by Luis Perdiguero and video by Arnaud Pottier. Moving away from Shakespearean romanticism, the staging belongs to the Italian tradition of conflict between rival factions, where the secret love between Giulietta and Romeo becomes a force that challenges the established order.

Five performances run October 30 through November 11, 2026, with a live broadcast on the Liceu's LiceuOPERA+ platform on November 22.
