Lisette's Maria Stuarda from the Salzburg Festival is coming home to the shelf. Ulrich Rasche's staging — in which Lisette sings the title role of Donizetti's doomed Queen of Scots — will be released on DVD and Blu-ray by C Major Entertainment on September 4, 2026.
Captured live at the 2025 Salzburg Festival, the release preserves Rasche's monumental production, built on slowly rotating platforms, projected imagery, and an ensemble of dancers — a staging that turns rhythm, movement, and physical presence into the drama's expressive forces. Antonello Manacorda conducts the Wiener Philharmoniker and the Konzertvereinigung Wiener Staatsopernchor.
